This is the world's best destination 2012

Each year lists Guardians experts together with their readers and the newspaper Observer what they consider is the best destination.
The biggest news for this year is that Iceland tops the list for the best country in Europe, closely followed by Austria and Germany. Greece comes in fifth place and Turkey in the fourth. In the grounds of Iceland's first placement newspaper wrote: "without a doubt fascinated visitors of the landscape that is evolving and unfolding before our very eyes. The ash cloud from the volcano Eyjafjallajökull which 2010 forced much of Europe's airspace to close aroused the interest of the country. "
