Visitors to the Thai tourist resorts know that tailors are abundant. But which one to choose can be tricky.

A tailor who has a good reputation and that reached into the White House is the tailor Rajawongse, located right in the tourist center of Nana in Bangkok.

Here the family Gulati-now in third generation-for almost 40 years, sewn clothing. Today, father and son Jesse and Victor, who runs the shop.

Among their regular customers are several u.s. Presidents, politicians, generals, diplomats, spies and industry leaders from Fortune 500 companies. Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt has also been here.

The shop is not especially impressive in size, barely larger than a normal large Swedish garage. But here squeezed among hundreds of different fabrics, portraits with Jesse and Victor together with both Presidents Bush, signed photographs from Barack Obama and many more.

-They usually take the opportunity to come here if there is a Summit in the region, "said Jesse Gulati, and says that the former American President George w. Bush was very nice.

-He bought two suits me, a gray and a blue plus five shirts, "he said.

Now sew not Jesse and Victor themselves clothes but they have over 100 tailors employed, broken down by three factories nearby. In one file, kavajerna, in the other the trousers and shirts in the third.

-It is best to keep them separated so they do not begin to argue, laugh, Jesse Gulati.

The syr only men. Nothing for ladies. The shirts used Egyptian cotton, considered to be the finest. To from men in suits are the fabrics from Italy.

In one corner stands the Swedish engineer Peter Ström, 39, from Stockholm and test a Barack Obama-inspired costume.

"I will always be here during my visit to Bangkok. I really like Rajawongses suits, "he said.

A suit costs the equivalent of 2,600 dollars and takes one week to sew. This includes also two to three so-called "fittings", when you go to work and correct the snitsen.

"But it is in a hurry, we can organize it faster," said Jesse Gulati.
