Tourists and locals flee right now, Bondi Beach. Paradise Beach has suffered from a rare algal bloom and is similar to the Red Sea.
Bondi beach, outside Sydney, new South Wales is Australia's most popular beach. Tourist attraction has now been forced to close because of health reasons. This after a rare algal bloom suspended above the water, reports the Mail online.
Algae have high ammonia content. and can cause skin rashes and eye irritation. A large number of fish are thought to have died.
According to the Mail online, this phenomenon, which may occur in different colors, due to algae bloomed and gathered in large groups.
The water should not be toxic, but it is recommended that people avoid swimming in areas of discolored water.
A water Institute in New South Wales has done tests to investigate what caused the huge blooms. One theory is that it is due to an increase in the colder, more nutritious water.
Now hope tourists and locals that algae will be lost at the weekend, when temperatures are expected to be up to 40 degrees.
