In the beautiful region of the Auvergne, only two and a half hours by train from Paris, Allier, France's second-densest Castle. In the 20th century were the many small castles vacation homes for wealthy parisare, now have some turned into hotels. A short drive from the small village of Moulins is the beautiful countryside and a pleasant tranquility arises when we go through the Grand tree Avenue and finally Rolls onto the gravel availability in front of the Chateau D ' Ygrande.

Just above a large pond surrounded by willows and with an unparalleled view of a kulligt landscape, dark castle themselves. In the endless green surroundings visible horses stroll and beta grass or galloped off into the sunset.

The Castle owner Pierre-Marie Tissier, explains that he wants the environment should feel familiar and charming rather than chic and luxurious. The Castle and of the equine farm, which has two large utomhusvolter, a smaller ring, a horse racing course, obstacle park and access to fälttävlansbana has been in his possession since 1997. After working 20 years in the medical industry and traveled around the world and visited many hotels saw Pierre-Marie his chance to gather their impressions and their interest in horses under a single roof-a refuge for those who want to enjoy horse riding, good food and beautiful surroundings.

On the farm there are over 40 Canter and dressage horses. And here both beginners (like myself) who experienced riders in dressage, eventing, and show jumping to get out as much of the training session, which was set up upon request. My first lesson am I familiarize myself with Freddy a sensitive former Racecourse horse. My French teacher, Norbert Chevrot, a resilient spirit of marlboro smoke in the forties who competes in dressage, show teaching how to keep hold of Freddy's bones when I clean the shoes and how I'm going to brush his fur. As the stall a novice I am I am glad when he praises my effort.

Well up on top of the horse and inside this troupe is the time to go through the basics.

-Forward with the hips! Down with heels!, cried the English and peppande instructor Susan Roberts acting as interpreter during the lesson.

As soon as we started trava is a lot to think about, and lifting so that easy and smooth in the saddle, is proving to be easier said than done. We piled around and around in this troupe, switching direction, increasing the pace, the pace slows, stops suddenly.

Susan and Norbert reminds us constantly that I should shorten the reins, stretch your back, keeping me on the edge of this troupe, push up the butt, take down the heels, and look where I am.

-Bravo!, cried, Norbert encouraging when I stand up in the saddle while turning a blind eye and trying to find balance.

I'm knackered after the first lesson, but really roused and excited to learn. Early the next morning, I hear that it is a "big improvement", and I get trava fun course and skritta over obstacles. Third day, it is to my great pleasure time galloped off into the sunset, hey what you can!

A perfect way to rest up and relax training ache between ridlektionerna is to relax at the swimming pool next to the lush garden or visit the Turkish bath in the spa department where you can also book your beauty treatments, which is exactly what I do. A whole-body massage does wonders for both body and soul. Not to mention the delicious meals taken in the stylish dining room or if the weather permits outside on the terrace.

Last days I spend uteritter in the surroundings of the Castle. And there is the small minimum romantically inclined, it is good fortune by dense deciduous forests and green meadows, past the large cornfield and undulating landscapes a never-ending source of well-being. When we pass a small pond and see Chateau d ' Ygrande torna resigned as fund far over there, so I feel it is a little like being in a fairy tale.
