Make your trip to a paradise

Go there: In early november starts Wing charter to Punta Cana with departure from Stockholm. Stopover in Copenhagen there, direct flight home.

Dominican Republic has over 350 kilometres of magnificent beaches stretching along the nation's 1,387 kilometres of coastline. Many qualify for travel newspaper lists of the world's best dream beaches. But that list the best beaches is not an easy game because they differ as widely as the island's geography — each beach has its own beauty.

One of those dream beaches, Bávaro, stretching about 30 km along the winter new charter destinations, Punta Cana on the island's eastern coast. The crystal clear turquoise blue sea is lined with a soft, fine-grained sugar white sand sprinkled with high kokosnuts palms and all-inclusive hotels, each with its own small private beach.

The long Bávaro beach is – from the South to the North – divided into playa los Corales, playa del Cortesito, playa de Arena Gorda, playa Macao. All equally nice and long shallow, but the further north you get the fewer visitors. What varies along the length of the beach is the provision of canteens, bars and restaurants and water activities: snorkelling, diving, windsurfing, parasailing, deep sea fishing, to name a few.
